i. Study Permit Application Refusals - When a study permit application is refused, this refusal will be noted in a letter issued by the visa officer to the unsuccessful applicant. However, when an application is refused, the applicant has the right to request the visa officer's notes supporting the reason for refusal. Depending on the reasoning behind the decision for the refusal, applicants may be able to:
- take into account the stated reasons for the refusal and prepare a new application; or
- Consult a lawyer for help with an official review of the decision.
IRCC tries to process most SDS applications within 20 calendar days. However, some applications may take longer.

- give your biometrics as soon as possible
- meet all the eligibility requirements
